A Warm Rascal!

Hey there everyone! Here is the little baby with his sweater from Grandma Place (lol, that sounds funny to say!) on! He is just too cute! He looks pretty scruffy in these pics, it's the humitity ;) ...but he's still cuter than cute! He is a bit stressed right now b/c he can tell that we're going on a trip! We're going to see his Grandparents for a long weekend and a friend is going to watch him...but he just KNOWS he's being left again! ...Poor Baby, I feel so bad leaving him! Well, i've procrastinated on packing again... and Brandon would like to leave as soon as he gets home from work! Yikes! I'd better get moving! I know i'm packing way too much...but oh well... three days is a long time! ;) It has been SO cold! Yesterday it got below freezing! Ugg...and it's only October! It's beautiful this morning though... the grass is just kinda frosted over and a cloud is just hangin out over the water and Hobuck Mt.! I love it! Well, i've G2G! (Got to Go!) :) Love ya! Back in Business!!!

Yay! I'm back!!! Woohoo! Our internet is finally back up and running! Who knows what the matter with it was, but it just started working again last night! I'm SO thankful... I missed updating my blog! :) Well, it's kinda sad, but not too much has happened in the two weeks since i've last updated! I am now babysitting a little 2 year old girl for 3 hours everyday... so that's a nice little change. She just comes over to our house,so that's nice. It's a good thing both for the little girl and myself. I enjoy it! Rascal is doing good! He is such a little baby! Everyone at the station up here loves him! Oh my mom got Rascal a sweater! And he LoVeS it! He wears it proudly around the house! It is really cute and funny! I'll post a picture! He got it just in time because it feels like the winter is starting to set in! It is nice... but kinda dreary. It is 45 degrees out and raining... yucky. But i'm nice and toasty warm inside with my pumpkin spice candle permeating through the house and my clothed little puppy curled up beside me. It's cozy. It nw looks like we will definately be leaving here in January! It's a good thing that Brandon will finally be getting to go to his A school, but i'm kinda sad to be leaving here. We really love that Brandon is able to be home so much here! But anyways, so in January Brandon will be going to his "A" school in Yorktown, Virginia and I will be living at home in AZ with my family. For 3 months! It will be good to be home... but I will miss my hubby so very much! ....But I know it'll be ok! He'll come out being a Petty Officer! I think that's pretty cool...I'm so proud of him! Well...i'm gonna go eat breakfast. I'll try to post a picture later of Rascal in his sweater! Thanks for checking back in on us! We love ya!

Missing in Action!

Hello all!
Just wanted to let ya'll know that our internet has been down for the last week! I'm not sure when it will be working again...so yup. That's why no updates recently!!! I'm at a friend's house now, but just didn't want ya'll to think that i've abandoned our blog! I've missed doing this! The internet is like my only connection to the world, so we're workin' on getting it back up and running! But anyways...thanks for checking in and hopefully i'll be back soon! God bless! Woohoo!

Good morning!

Hope everyone out there is having a wonderful day! Brandon and I had an amazing little mini vacation! It was great! We stayed at a Resort which turned out to AmaZinG! It was very similar to our honeymoon suite (except it didn't have 3 extra rooms!)... so it was fun to be in luxrury again! Eating dinner along the Puget Sound waterfront was very romantic, especially with all of the totem poles, mosquitoes, and our taco bell food! That's us though...we loved it! I'm quite happy with my Crunchwrap Supreme, and Brandon is more than happy with his Burrito Supreme, 2- 1/2 lb bean and cheese burritos(without fiesta salsa of course, that would be too healthy), cinnamon twists, and a VoLcAnO taco!!! Yikes...even I was suprized he could finish it all. Although I should know he's capable of it by now... I think he must have a hollow leg to store it all in!

But the next day we met everyone at the mall and had a wonderful time! Grandma Miles bought me the cutest purse EVER and I am quite excited about it! It is very me. She is just so sweet, I love her! We went to... oh man I forgot the name, but it was a great little lodge type place. Brandon's dad is, of course, very nice! We had a very nice lunch and I was able to take some great pictures of the three generations of Miles men! I thought it was great, but all three of them kinda mumbled over in the same way. It was perfect! But yup, we had a wonderful time!

The day we were leaving Brandon came home with some news... we might be leaving here very soon... :( I really thought we'd be here 'till like next June or something, but now we could possibly be out of here as early as November!!! Ahhh... That is too stressful to even think about at the moment, so i'll just move on and update when we find out more! I'm praying it'll be after the holiday season so that we can have our own first little Christmas...otherwise Brandon will be in Yorktown, Virginia for Christmas...and I'll be at home in AZ! ...Ok, not gonna think about it...Everthing happens for a reason. And I know God's gonna take care of His kids... so no worries!

Well, if I thought Rascal had separation issues before... I was wrong! He is attached to me like super glue! Since we've gotten home he like HAS to be touching me @ all times! It is cute, but kinda sad! And when we sleep he knows he goes to my feet, but last night that was just too far away(in his little mind)! He had to sleep with his head on my pillow all cuddled up next to me! Of, course Brandon wouldn't let him stay there long, but it was really sad!

Oh my gosh I LOVE my Wii Fit!!! It is AMAZING!!! It has reconfirmed without the shadow of a doubt that I am unbalanced... but we already knew that! I can do everything from tightrope walking, to hitting soccer balls with my head, to running, and pushups, and yoga! I alsolutely love it! Of course, I look like an idiot in front of my TV trying to whack invisible soccer balls with my head and spin invisible hooola hoops. And all the while I've got a big grin on my face and Brandon's on the floor laughing histerically at me... but I love it all! I'll have to post a video on here at some point of it!

Up and Out!

Hey there!

We are leaving for a quick, 2 day trip out of Neah Bay! Yay! Well, no trip is quick out of here..but, oh well! We are going to see Brandon's biological father for the first time in many, many years! We are looking forward to meeting over lunch on Thursday. Brandon is real relaxed about it and is really looking forward to the lunch...silly boy! But we LOVE his Grandparents, who are coming, so we're excited! And we know that everything happens for a reason! Just FYI: it takes 2 hours (alot on a cliff-like road) to get to the closest town from Neah Bay! (Port Angeles) And then we are driving another couple hours to Silverdale. But we are both looking forward to civilization! It's been about 2+ weeks since we've been to town! Woohoo! Well, hope this hasn't bored you to death! Oh! I know what else! I've wanted a Wii Fit for months now, but they have been sold out EVERYWHERE! So I called Walmart a bit ago and was told that they FINALLY have one! yay! ...ONE! And they won't hold it for me, so i'm really hoping that it'll still be there around noon today! I can't wait to be doing my little virtual yoga and jogging and hoola hooping! lol! (that'll be a sight!) We love our Wii! We have a blast bowling, and golfing, and boxing(i'm the best at boxing!) and playing tennis! Oh my goodness Brandon is SO competitive with the tennis! He is proud to say that he is a PRO! If only ya'll could see us in front of our TV swinging and jumping and punching away! It would be quite a sight to see! lol! It's the thing to do here at the Derton house! Well...I warned that this blog won't be full of excitement, hope you're not too disapointed! :) I know what i'll do! I'll put pictures up! Enjoy! Welcome to our blog!!! We're glad you came to visit us!

Brandon and I are doing great up here in Neah Bay, Washington. We are totally blessed just to be in the middle of nowhere (actually the end of nowhere) with nothing to do but admire the beauty that God has placed out here... and, of course, bask in our newlywed love!

Marriage is wonderful and we are just continually amazed at how our love for each other continues to grow daily! You'd think we'd be sick of each other by now(jk), but every time he goes to work I still find myself wishing away the minutes until he'll be home again! We serve an awesome God!!!

It is absolutely amazing to live here where the land is raw and the wildlife runs truly wild. Rascal and I love to watch a little sea otter family play in the water that runs by our house, and while doing dishes I have the privilege of watching the majestic bald eagle look for prey. Daily we have to remind ourselves that most people never even get to see beauty like this, let alone LiVe in it! We would love to be able to share this beauty with anyone that'd like to come for a visit; we've been blessed with a 3 bedroom house and Rascal just has to learn how to share his bedroom with others!

Brandon is enjoying his job, yet is really ready to move on to his Boatswains (pronounced boesen's) Mate 'A' school. We know, though, that we are up here to be a light to the Makah Indians and to our fellow coasties. I am still without a job... yes, I know, terrible. (the jobs are VERY limited and given mainly to other Indians) But at the moment, home is where I am. I am loving sewing, cooking (much to the liking of my hubby's tummy), scrapbooking, praying, reading my Bible and taking care of the Schnoodle! I am just a little domestic house wife...but I LOVE it!

Well, at the moment it is almost 10pm and I am waiting for the love of my life to return from rescuing a wayward seagoer. (I'm so proud of him) I'll update soon with any new random happenings. Be warned: This blog may get extremely exciting due to the fact that when the fog rolls over the hill it's an event!!! lol... but thanks for joining us and continue to check in!!!
