I know it's late...but still wanted to say Happy Birthday Jesus and Merry Christmas to everyone! Brandon and I were blessed to have our first Christmas together yesterday! It was a bit sad to not be around our wonderful family, but we made the best of it here on our own! We also had to move on Christmas, so that took up most of our day! Different, but still good. We discovered that EVERYTHING in Port Angeles is closed on Christmas! We were quite hungry from our 3 hour drive into town, but the ONLY thing that was open was 1 Safeway (out of 3!) and we got there 5 minutes before it closed!!! Yikes! So we were able to get some sandwiches...but they sure made us miss some of Aunt Stephani's meatballs and lasagna! Mmmm.....yummy! We also ran into some pretty rotten weather while we were pulling the Uhaul. It was pretty scary being on a very desolate road with only abandoned cars, no snow plows to be found, pulling a uhaul, and heavy snowfall!!! Definitely not what we're used to! But we made it ok! It just delayed us a bit and we ended up taking 3 days instead of two... We had lots of little adventures! Lol...one was after we dropped off the uhaul trailer we were backing up after leaving it, when we saw the trailer start to roll!... it was headed straight for a uhaul truck!!! AHHH...so Brandon tries to quickly put it in park, but puts in in reverse...fixes that, scrambles out...and slips HARD on the ice...gets up and runs to the trailer RIGHT before it hits the other truck! Yikes!!! For some reason I thought that it was the funniest thing that i've ever seen! lol! We both laughed for quite a while over it! We keep ourselves entertained pretty well out here! lol! I was able to snap some great pics while logging our many hours in the truck! Enjoy and hope everyone had a blessed and wonderful Christmas!!! With love ~ Brandon, Cortney, and Rascal

Lol! These are some of my procrastination products...our stockings! They're not perfect, but they're done! Yay! Mr. and Mrs. stockings...The Mr.'s had polka dots and mine has flowers...yes they're flowers if you look close! lol. I got them done just in time! It took me a WHILE to decide how I should make them! Ok, well... I guess I need to finish packing since we're trying to move TOMORROW! Ahhh... Ok, xoxoxo

We were supposed to be moving today, but now we will (hopefully) be moving tomorrow and Christmas Eve...and possibly Christmas. Not our ideal moving days...but such is life. I was making a snow angel and this is when Rascal HAD to sit!!! LOL! We love this little guy!!!

Well, as you can tell we are enjoying our little rare blizzard here in Neah Bay! Some of these are from last night and some are from this morning. It let up enough to take these fun pictures! Hope you have fun seeing them, because we sure had fun taking them! Practically the whole base was watching us in our backyard having a blast like little kiddos! We've gotten a couple feet with like 4 foot embankments! I love it! Rascal loved it at first, but after Brandon throwing snowballs at him... he tucked his little tail between his legs and wanted back inside. lol! We've decided to just enjoy the weather, and not dread too much what this means for our move. Our uhaul rental has been pushed back from tomorrow, and we'll just wait to see when we'll be able to leave the base! As of right now, we're definately not going anywhere! We're snowed in!!! What a change from back home...

Blizzard and Moving don't mix well!

Ahhh! We just got a blizzard warning for tomorrow! Yikes! Supposedly we'll get like 15-20 inches! That is absolutely unheard of here! We were supposed to rent a trailer and move on Monday, but now we've postponed it until Tuesday. We're really hoping that it'll at least be better by then. We know of one death from our icy road already this week...so please pray for safety! Stay tuned for updates on what the weather's really gonna be like!!!

Just thought I'd share some pics of Brandon in his...umm...I forget what this uniform is called...but this is the one he wears on the boat! They were going out to do some training in some TERRIBLE weather the other night and I just thought i'd snap some shots of my hero in all his glory! I am So proud of what he does out there and just thought i'd share that! I was kinda dressed up b/c our neighbor had a going away party for us! So nice! Brandon could only be there for a bit...but such is life in the Coast Guard! Alrightly...

Hello everyone! This morning we woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland outside our frosted windows! It is just beautiful! We woke up early to play before Brandon had to go to work! We were like little kids running and jumping around in the snow! I was able to get the hubby with a pretty good snowball...and then he got me back with some lovely snow down my pants. How nice. = ) Rascal was a bit unsure of what he thought of the snow...but once he got running around, he decided he liked it! I got the cutest video of him jumping through the snow...I wish I could find my cable to get it on here! Sorry! Enjoy these pics of our snow! xoxoxo

Just thought y'all might like to see what one of my many hobbies are. I love to make things with Sculpey(a polymer clay). Not just any little things...very intricate little characters. When I was in AZ, I made Noah(from the Ark) and here I made a bunny for a baby shower gift. These are the first things I've made in a couple years, but thought you'd like to see! Enjoy! ...hmmm....I guess I didn't take a picture of Noah...bummer he was really cute! Oh well, here's the

bunny!-I added the sign with the baby's name on it! A personal little touch. She is only about 2.5 inches tall! I do the intricate details with a pin. = ) I LOVE doing this!

Pre-Christmas Cheer!

Merry almost Christmas! It's the most Wonderful Time of the Year...And we think that it really is! Brandon and I are loving the fact that we are able to decorate our own home for our First Christmas together! We love it! Our house has been transformed into a winter wonderland! I've got icicles hanging inside and out, Christmas teapots spread throughout, and a tree centered in our living room! On our tree we have some special "First Christmas" ornaments given to me at my Bridal Shower by Brandon's mom and Grandma. And as a special little tradition, we've decided to get a Christmas ornament from every place that we're stationed in the CG. That is what the little life ring picture is. Also, I have a fetish for penguins! I just love them. And my amazing hubby has spoiled me with several special penguin friends this Christmas! I LOVE it! Rascal isn't so thrilled about them...he's still a bit scared of them...but we're working on that! And yesterday Brandon was able to make the outside of our house match the inside. We now are glowing both inside and out! The lights were his thing! We love it so much and are proud of our little home! Well, have a blessed day and enjoy making your own little Christmas cheer!
