Birth Day Story

  Isaiah 41:10: "So don't worry, because I am with you.   I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you."

This verse really helped me through labor! My Aunt Jenny texted it to me on our way to the hospital... God's timing!  I tend to worry. .. Alot... too much.  And I was especially nervous/scared about giving birth again, because Zion's was so traumatic and hard.  BUT, God has promised in Hebrews 13:5 "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." And I certainly was relying on these verses/promises, as well as others about strength, peace, and the ability to do ALL things through Christ. 

And we did it!  Dispite some scary moments where my blood pressure dropped really low (93/40) and baby girl's heart rate was all over the place,  God totally got us through! And with JOY! We were able to witness to many nurses,  including one that didn't believe me that neither Brandon nor I have EVER drank alcohol or smoked.  Lol. She said the ONLY person that had done that was her mother. .. definitely not young people.  :) Well, when God had been your strength, JOY, and foundation for the majority of your life ALL things are possible!  HE is truly all we need!

Okie dokie.  Enough blogging for today!  I've got babies to enjoy! ! :D

Twins?

My babies!  Zion is loving his role as big brother!  And as Brandon says,  "Guess this is what the 2 of us together look like!" :)
We think they look SO much alike! 

Love, Smiles and Scowls

Zion remains the most loving and caring little 3 year old (yes, I can and will still say 3 year old for the next 3 weeks! ) that I've ever seen.  At the Dr yesterday,  Zion just had to stand there and make sure his sister was ok while Dr Sifontes checked her out.  It was so precious!  And Ellie, or Jojo, as Zion calls her,  was more than happy just to stare happily back into his eyes.  SO PRECIOUS!  We are totally in love with our children!  :) God is so good!  That He has chosen to bless us with these 2 miracles just blows us away.  It blows us away, and makes us realize what a HUGE responsibility being Christian parents really is. 

It's our prayer that we are able to "raise them up in the way that they should go, so that when they are old they will not depart from it." May they always know that not only do their earthly parents love them more than could ever possibly be expressed, but their heavenly Father loves them beyond anything we can even fathom. It is our duty to show them by example what living for Jesus is all about. That it's a relationship with Jesus that we are seeking daily. And if we don't have that... we have nothing.  What a foreign concept in today's world! 

" Lord,  may I always be the example to my children that you want me to be.  May I draw closer to You, so that they will want to draw closer to You.  Strengthen me to be a P31W every day of my life. (Proverbs 31 woman)  Thank you Jesus!"

On another note,  check out her smile!  :) LOVE!!!  She is starting to smile more than scowl.  :) She works it either way!

Joelle Miles

She's here! We did it!   Saturday night at 10:04 Miss Joelle Miles made her amazing entrance into this world!  What an INCREDIBLE little baby she is! ! At just 7 lbs 8 oz she feels SO little to us compared to her strapping 8 lbs 14 oz big brother! She has beautiful strawberry blonde hair and looks at everything with intensity! This first pic is her looking at her daddy less than 5 minutes after being born!! God is SO good and we are enjoying being a family of 4! Zion LOVES her and is so sweet.  He takes charge and gets everything out and ready if he hears her poo and stands by to help while she's nursing.  We have amazing kiddos! Ellie has her days and nights mixed up. .. totally reversed actually, so Brandon and I only got about an hour of sleep last night.  But thankfully, and amazingly,  Zion slept through it all!  Amazing considering he sleeps in his bed next to Brandon's side of the bed, and she's next to my side of the bed in either her swing or bassinet.  :) We like to keep them close!  Lol.  Please pray that Zion and Brandon get over this cold and Ellie does not catch anything!  Thank you! 

Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the day!  We go to the hospital at 7:30 in the morning to be induced!  Woohoo! So exciting and unreal. You'd think after being pregnant for FOREVER it would seem real that we're gonna have a baby at the end. .. but nope! :) We still just can't picture being a family of 4! But, we won't have to imagine much longer! Praying for a quick and safe delivery.  Over and over I am saying to myself, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!" I know this is true, and He will strengthen me with His strength!  :) 

We had a wonderful day.  Zion's last day of being an only child!  Wow. It included lots of puzzle building, play dough, book reading, ice cream and a walk down to the pool.  :) Just lovely.  Okie dokie folks! The next post will include a pic of our beautiful baby girl!  Praise God!  :)
